Surfers – Help wanted – Interns and Volunteers:

As you may know, surfing history is huge! The Atlantic Surfing Museum (ASM) was founded in 2008 with this mission:

“As a non-profit center for exhibition and education, the Atlantic Surfing Museum is dedicated to collecting, conserving, and researching the culture, heritage, art, lifestyle and science of the sport of surfing for the public’s enjoyment. We will work to honor the Atlantic beaches, our playground.”

If this is an interest of yours, too, please comment or write back to us. The museum’s first location is opening in Wall, NJ this summer, just a couple of miles from Belmar beach, home of the Belmar pro invitational. We need interns and volunteers who will commit to help open and maintain the museum.

Skills wanted are:

Surfing: – If you know surfing and can talk about where we are and how we got here, join us.

Photography: - We love great surf photographs, both stills and videos. Also, you get a great chance to get your work in front of a large audience.

Layout and Web Design skills: - Contribute to an ASM Website or help design museum exhibits.

Carpentry, painting and preparation skills: - Everyone can help, but leadership in these areas will be appreciated and valued.

Please click to reply, or visit the museum Website at:

Best, and enjoy the summer waves!

Gail Kotowski, Ann Brown, Kathy Nelson, Mark Richardson, Ricky Arnold, Ron Pare, Tom Eadon and Will Somers.

PS: See the new sign, ready to go!
